This is an issue for people with big game folders and apparently on mac when the default setting is bad. Actually scanning the games is done on a background thread, but setting up the folder watcher is done on the ui thread meaning it blocks until it atleast looks over each folder. This is because of a bad default setting for game folder directory causing citra to scan the entire computer for games. Citra is frozen and the only option is force quit. From there you can c read that thread for more details. Um there really isn't any step by step guides, and i doubt that i can make the instructions any clearer but i'll try click 'Go' then 'Go to folder' and put in ~/.config/citra-emu/config/ open up qt-config.ini edit the line with Paths gameListDeepScan=true and change it to Paths gameListDeepScan=false then citra should start loading again. Can someone help? I was hoping someone else would do a write up while i was gone playing breath of the wild, but looks like no one did lol. It keeps doing what you can see in the image and it doesnt stop.
I was able to do it at first but then i apparently changed something and now Citra wont start.
